How many years have you been in the Company?
” I have been in the company for 7 years.”
How many years have you been choreographing?
“This is my forth year choreographing.”
What inspired you this year in your creative process?
When I choreographed in the past, my pieces always had a strong concept behind the movement. However, this year I decided to create a movement for movement’s sake inspired piece, although the tone of the music drives accents in the movement.”
How does your concept for your piece relate to the concept “true you”?
“My piece relates to the theme the “true you” because it challenges the past me and choreography I have created. This piece shows a different side of my creativity which connects to finding my true self. ”

How many years have you been in the Company?
” I have been in the company for 5 years.”
How many years have you been choreographing?
“This is my third year choreographing.”
What inspired you this year in your creative process?
“For the past few years I’ve created pieces that were serious and for my final year I wanted to create something more up beat and positive. My concept is about how certain people and things can make really hard situations feel less intense and those are the things that I consider home”
How does your concept for your piece relate to the concept “true you”?
“My piece relates to “true you” because everyone has something they consider “home” whether it happens to be a person, place, or thing.”

How many years have you been in the Company?
” I have been in the company for 6 years.”
How many years have you been choreographing?
“This is my second year choreographing.”
What inspired you this year in your creative process?
“The movement in my piece is based on a story line I’ve experienced where you’re in a close relationship with someone,  and all of the sudden, someone new comes into the picture. This new person gets in the way of your relationship and you can slowly see the person you love choosing them over you.”
How does your concept for your piece relate to the concept “true you”?
“My piece relates to the “true you” because at some point in everyone’s life, they realize who’s really there for them and who’s just temporary. As much as this can hurt, we all eventually get over it and realize we’re better off without them. “

How many years have you been choreographing?
“This is my 3rd year choreographing.
What inspired you this year in your creative process?
“My creative process has been inspired by a realization of the beauty of individuality. My piece is characterized by different qualities of movement in which reflect the different personalities and life paths of  people. “
How does your concept for your piece relate to the concept “true you”?
“My piece relates to the concept of the “True You” because it exemplifies the beauty in having different  movement qualities, and movement vocabulary coming together in one piece: a reflection of the beauty in being unique and individual in a group of people. In both cases, diversity is what makes the compilation truly beautiful. “

How many years have you been in the company?
“I have been in the company for 4 years”
How many years have you been choreographing?
“This is my first year choreographing”
What inspired you this year in your creative process?
“What inspired my creative process was the concept of different groups of people who immigrated to America. Each of these distinct and unique groups of people contributed to the beautiful country we live in today. It is important to me that each citizen of this country recognizes and appreciates the amazing diversity we have in this country. I hope my piece will show how these different people came together to make America what she is today.”
How does your piece relate to the concept “true you”?
“My piece can relate to the “true you” because a person’s culture helps shape who they are. The places where I grew up helped shape me in to who I am in different ways. The culture in which a person is raised in can help shape their character and determine what they value in life.”

How many year have you been in the company?

“I have been in the company for 6 years.”

How many years have you been choreographing?

“I have been choreographing for 4 years.”

What inspired you this year in your creative process?

“Has there ever been a time where you were in a room filled with people you’ve never met or don’t really connect with? As you see others conversing and getting along with others, you can feel like you’re by yourself. Although you’re not physically alone, in your mind you can feel separated and lonely. Another idea that helped me choose this concept was how I have wanted to use a chair in my piece for many years, but never had the right concept. I feel as though using a chair in my piece really helps bring out a different emotion.”

How does your piece relate to the concept “true you”?

“My piece relates to the “true you” theme because it shows how you control your feelings and emotions. But, in a crowded room we don’t always have to feel alone. If we put ourselves out there, we will receive a completely different result to the situation and our emotions will change. Be the “true you” always.”

How many year have you been in the company?

I have been in the company for 4 years.

How many years have you been choreographing?

I have been choreographing for 2 years.

What inspired you this year in your creative process?

“Since this is my senior year, I wanted to create a dance based on something that was very special to me. I made a whole list of concepts that I could create a dance from. The concept that I chose was not on this list, which made it perfect. It’s never easy to find the right concept and the right song, but when you do, it’s a magical moment. This moment is what I experienced when I decided to create a piece based on a challenged friendship in my life. It shows that no matter the difficulties, my best friend and I found other ways to connect and we will always be best friends.”

How does your piece relate to the concept “true you”?

My piece relates to the “true you” theme because it shows that through good times and through bad times, as long as you are you, the end will turn out just fine. You and your best friend are friends because they like the “true you”, not someone you are trying to be.
